A Big Weekend in The Upstate!

Okay, I think we need a vacation after this weekend! But it's been big, and we are really proud of our boys!

Friday morning, we started potty training full-force. No more diapers. Period. Not even for naps. Prior to now, Michael has had zero interest in potty training. Not unusual for a boy who is not yet 3. (Boys are much later potty trainers.) But preschool starts in 4 weeks, and they require that all children be fully potty trained. Pull-ups are not allowed.

Obviously that put not only pressure on us, but also served as a good motivator! Especially since we already put out our money!

Well Michael has been a real champ! We are so proud of how well he has done! In fact tomorrow we will venture out on our first diaper-free outing! Stickers have been the key for him. Every kid has their "carrot". I got stickers with moons on them (he loves the moon), and he calls them "Moon Mom Mom Stickers". Hey, whatever works!

And he has woken up each morning and from each nap totally dry!

Yeah Michael!

And then there is Matthew! He is now 7 months and 16 days, and crawling! Needless to say, this means my days will change! Time to re-babyproof everything, and I'll have to keep my eyes on him like a hawk!

Yeah Matthew!

Big milestones for both the boys definitely means it was a big weekend!
