Slowly on the Upswing

Things are finally getting better around here. My cough is almost gone, and Matthew seems completely better. Michael's cold symptoms are mostly gone, but the crankiness still remains. However, he is almost 3 years old, so the crankiness may remain for quite a long time. Greg went back to work today. And the ants are.... well, they're not gone, but we don't feel like we're being invaded either.

There is nothing like ants all over your refrigerator to get you on a diet. They didn't get inside, but there were hundreds crawling all over the outside. And close to the cereal boxes that we store on top. None got in the boxes though. But seriously, who wants to run the risk? I just can't seem to eat anything in the house that wasn't completely sealed before the invasion of the ants!

Thankfully the pest guy is coming out tomorrow.

Now here's a weird one for you. Is there something about little boys who are almost 3 and clothes? Lately Michael has not wanted to wear clothes. In fact some days he outright refuses. Sure, we could physically hold him down and get them on, but he just takes them back off. And throws a tantrum.

So for now I'm going with letting him do his thing, within some guidelines. You have to wear a shirt to sit up at the kitchen or dining room table. Anything less is just rude. If we are having anyone over, clothes are required. It is not appropriate to be without clothes when guests are here. And if we are going out anywhere, again clothes are required. He's just going to have to understand that the sign at Chick-Fil-A that says "shirts and shoes required" applies to 3 year olds too!
