You Know It's A Bad Night When...
Where do I begin?
I didn't think we were ever going to get to sleep last night. Matthew initially went down well. But then we brought Michael up to bed. Michael is getting over a cold, but the crankiness remains. Last night, this manifested itself in screaming, repeatedly. No, nothing was wrong. It's just that 2-3 year old frustration thing.
This of course woke up Matthew. So then we had two screaming boys. Plus one sick daddy, and one very tired mommy.
Finally after about an hour, Michael calmed down and went to sleep. But it took still another hour to get Matthew to go to sleep. He had decided it was time to play! Yawn!
The boys were finally asleep, and I decided it was time for a much needed late-night snack. (10:30 p.m. is now considered "late-night" in our house!) I went down to the kitchen, and there were ants crawling up the walls and on the refrigerator. Not just a couple ants. Hundreds of ants.
It seems that down here, when the ants come out, they bring all their relatives too. UGH.
I quickly called Greg to come down. He spent about 30 minutes spraying and squishing ants. He did a good job. This morning, rather than having hundreds of ants, I've only found a couple dozen.
Have I mentioned that I can't stand bugs? I was so itchy last night trying to go to sleep! Seeing all those ants made me feel like they were crawling on me! The pest guy is coming out Wednesday afternoon, but I may just have to see if he can come sooner.
Thankfully the boys both slept thru the night. But I am left in need of a strong cup of coffee, as I keep flicking imaginary ants off of my legs.

I agree -- time for more coffee. And then when you go to bed take a sedative! UGH! Bugs are too much. I always feared living in the south because I hear the bugs are bigger. Good luck! Sorry you experienced that invasion!
