The Birthday Aftermath!
Well, we've recovered from the big birthday! And what a wonderful birthday it was! But of course wonderful boys make wonderful birthdays!
We really appreciate the phone calls, emails, and related greetings over the past few days! It is nice to know that so many people love our little guys!
I've heard a lot of talk about the dread of assembling toys at Christmas. And of course opening a gift only to realize it requires the one size battery you don't have on hand.
Yesterday we experienced another dread of opening toys. How many different ways are there to firmly attach one toy to its packaging? Oh my gosh! All those twist-ties, heavy plastic molding, and packing tape! It takes forever to get all those un-done! Fortunately though by the time you get to the second toy, the child is thoroughly enjoying the first toy, so you have a little time to work!
Today we've had to keep reminding Michael that the new toys are Matthew's, and isn't it nice that Matthew is sharing them with Michael!
Anyway, both boys have also come down with sinus infections. So since they are both requiring a little extra attention, I might not get a chance to post tomorrow. We'll see. Probably good though. Besides, I doubt anyone wants to read the details of sinus excretions, nose bulbs, and related messes!!!

SOrry to hear about the kids getting sick. And you are right, they attach those toys with barbed wire, don't they??
Glad the birthday was good.
