Blog for Choice Day

Apparently today is "Blog for Choice Day", a blog activism event for pro-choice bloggers. I figured I should participate.

I believe in choice as to whether or not to have sex. If you don't want to have a baby, then choose not to have sex.

I believe in choice as to what preventative measures to take. If you don't want to have a baby, then choose which birth control you want to use. There are both permanent and non-permanent measures. Double-up if you have to. Heck, triple-up if you have to.

I believe in father's choice. It takes two to make a baby. And the father has as much right to determine the outcome of the pregnancy as the mother. Now certainly there are exceptions such as rape and incest, but those are only a small part of what's going on today. If you don't think the father is smart enough to be a dad on his own, then choose to partner with a more responsible guy.

I believe in children's choice. Ultimately it is not about the mother or the father. It is about the baby. It is not the mother's life who is being ended either way. It is the baby's. So if you don't want someone else choosing on your behalf, then don't choose on the baby's behalf.

So there are a lot of choices out there. How about supporting one of those?

Check out my friends at Right Pundits for their great article and statistics.
