An Early Father's Day

Greg is in between sessions of school right now, so I figured we'd go ahead and do his big Father's Day gift while he had time to enjoy it. Once school starts up again next weekend, things are going to be crazy!

So when we got home from Everett's amazingly fun birthday party last night, I escorted Greg to the backyard. Here is what he found:

Well, of course he and Michael were not already in it! The picture was taken later. But it's a brand new tent for camping out in the backyard!

Greg and Michael have been talking about backyard camping for a while. So I figured there was no better time to spring for a basic tent. Of course then it was up to me to get the thing put up. Let's just say I'm not a camper. But I got it all assembled by myself. I definitely earned my Girl Scout badge yesterday!

The boys had a little party in the tent, and then went to sleep. (Matthew stayed inside in his crib though.) Michael made it until about 10 pm. He's not used to the outdoor noises yet. But we will slowly work him towards longer periods in the tent.

What a fun weekend it has been!
