Hollywild!
On Saturday, Greg had school, and I was looking for something to do with the boys. Preferably something that would wear them out for a good afternoon nap! We had been to the Greenville Zoo on Friday, so I didn't want to go back there.
I had heard a lot about a place nearby called Hollywild. Hollywild is another zoo-type attraction, that also has a lot of animals that have been featured in movies, television shows, and advertisements. Unfortunately I had also heard from a lot of people that it is "gross". They said that you need to be sure to bring lots of wipes.
But I was feeling brave. Or was it desperate? Anyway, off we went!
We absolutely loved it! They boys got to feed so many animals, and even had baby goats sucking on their fingers. Plus we got to see about 6 lions, cougars, panters, bears, chipanzees, baboons, orangatans, zebras, and a spotted horse! They have a "safari ride" to see more animals, but we passed on that this time.
So where does the "gross" review come from? Well honestly, if you don't like animals eating out of your hands, you probably would think the park is gross. Some people just aren't in to goat slobber. We on the other hand love it! (And we also love washing it off thoroughly when we are done!)
When we were done, I asked the boys if they wanted to come back again. The response was a resounding YES! (In fact Michael said he wanted to bring Mom Mom and Pop Pop, so they better get back down here soon!) So I went ahead and bought a membership.
If you like animals, and like interacting with them, definitely head to Hollywild!
