The New Hillary Video

Has anyone not seen the new Hillary Clinton video yet? Modeled after the series finale of The Sopranos, it has Hillary playing the same role as Tony Soprano. Major mobster, crime boss, and bad-guy extraordinaire.

From the commentary I've heard, doing a take-off on a hit show like The Sopranos was probably meant to humanize Hillary, and show that she's familiar with many of the same things as the average person.

For me, it just doesn't float. If nothing else, I can say that this average person doesn't have the disposable income to shell out for premium movie channels. We're raising two kids on one income, paying for preschool and a mortgage. Hillary's just never been in our position. Never stayed home with Chelsea, and always had two salaries to live off of. I understand that they never actually owned a home until after Bill left the White House.

So really, Hillary is not like me. No matter how she may try to convince us.

But what really puzzles me about the video is why she would choose to associate herself with a show about mobsters. Killers. People who get rid of anyone who crosses them.

Hasn't she read all the speculation about the "body count" associated with the Clintons? Just do a google search on "clinton body count". There are a lot of people out there who think that the Clintons and the Sopranos are not that different.

Now I'm not saying that all (or any) of the accusations are true. But there are some that are at least suspicious. Like the fact that the initial witness to the Vincent Foster suicide found no gun at the scene. Again, not saying it was anything other than a suicide, but lots of things are suspicious.

So given that there has been all this suspicion about mob-like activity with the Clintons, why in the world would they do a take-off on The Sopranos?

Some may be calling the Hillary Soprano video a hit, but to me it is a big flop.
