Great Weekend!
It seems that the weekends go by too fast...
On Saturday, Michael, Matthew and I went to friend Camille's 4th birthday party while Greg was at school. The party was at the South Carolina Children's Theater. It was a fun party, and there are always such wonderful people at parties for that family. We are blessed to have met them!

On Sunday, we went out for a drive. We headed north over the Campbell's Covered Bridge. It is the last remaining covered bridge in all of South Carolina. There was a young man there who had spelled out "HOPE" with rose petals, and was waiting to surprise his girlfriend. So sweet! He was nice enough to take a picture of us by the bridge.

Then we headed west on the Cherokee Foothills National Scenic Highway (S.C. 11). Our plan was to just see where the road led us, and check out some places we might come back to visit at a later date.
Eventually we stumbled upon Aunt Sue's Country Corner. It is a group of rustic buildings with shops and a restaurant. The ice cream shop definitely seems to be the most popular! And it was with the boys too!

Aunt Sue's sits right below Table Rock State Park. From the part of the mountain we could see from the road, it is definitely a place we want to go back and explore!

Finished up the day with dinner at Moe's. It's 7 pm and both of the boys are in bed! Wow!

Our Sunday drive was great. In fact, when Michael was asked at bedtime what was the most fun part of his day was, he answerd "Going for a drive."

Welcome to my newest commenter, Greg! Gee, do I know you from somewhere? :-)
XOXO
We have done that drive too only the other way...towards Georgia from Anderson. It is pretty up there. We hit Lake Jocasee and Ipsaqueena Falls. Beautiful. I have been wanting to go to Table Rock. Maybe next week while my parents are here we will make it up there.
Savor the moment! The last covered bridge? Hurry and build another!
