I Scream You Scream!

Today's Collaboration at CHBM is "ice cream". Is there anyone who doesn't have something good to say about ice cream in the summertime? Michael even chants, "I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream!"

We love ice cream in our house. (Or in someone else's house. Or outside. It doesn't matter, as long as it's ice cream!) We found a great little old-fashioned ice cream parlor nearby at Dillard's Farm Market. It's the kind of place you can remember going to as a kid. They have the best banana splits! YUM!!

When I was in college, ice cream was a favorite treat, right along with pizza. Two staples of college life. (I was never a beer drinker, so ice cream and pizza were my vices.) There was a Swensen's ice cream parlor at a shopping center right off campus that made the best sundaes. I always got mint chocolate chip ice cream with fudge topping.

But the best thing about Swensen's? They delivered! I don't know how they did it without the ice cream melting, but somehow it worked! Just call from your dorm room, and 15 minutes later, you had your sundae.

I can't tell you how many times I've wished that service was still available somewhere!

This past weekend on our drive, we took the boys for ice cream at Aunt Sue's Country corner. Here are a couple pictures of the boys enjoying their treats.
