According to our local news website, the current temperature is 104 degrees. At what point does it actually become "hotter than hell"? It feels like we're getting close.
So what do you do with a couple of active boys when it is this hot? Outdoor activities are out. They're not in to movies -- not that there is really anything appropriate in a theater for an "almost 4 year old" and an "almost 20 month old".
Tonight Michael and had planned a "Mommy-Michael night" to go to the lakeside concert at Furman. Thankfully they moved it inside to an air conditioned auditorium. We'll see how long Michael makes it. He generally finds the auditoriums too dark and too loud.
The heat is supposed to last through the weekend. Oh misery! I hate to see what our electric bill will look like!

I guess I shouldn't complain that is 102 here earlier this week. I hope you're getting the cooler weather that's predicted for the weekend.

we loooooooooooove the library. it's cool there, they now have a little snack bar, we've become good friends with one of the children's librarians, and the children's area is really nice. now that we can eat there, it's even better. we also have a huge indoor pool/splash park in our town that's part of the county recreation system. i've taken my daughter a couple of times before the summer but i don't particularly like it cuz the chlorine fumes are too too much for me.
