A Great Day!
Today was the day we did Michael's big birthday celebrations. It started with a visit to his class this morning with a "really really really really really big cookie". It was neat to see Michael with his new school friends! They are all so sweet!
Then this afternoon was the big party at Monkey Joe's. Oh my gosh was that wonderful! If you haven't been to a Monkey Joe's, you've got to go. And I highly recommend it for birthday parties! The kids were running, jumping, and bouncing all over the place. Everyone commented on how much fun it was.
I got a big compliment on the side as well. A job offer! Yep, the manager at Monkey Joe's asked if I wanted a job. It would be an awesome place to work! But right now with two boys at home, Greg in grad school in an accelerated program, and me going through provisional year with Junior League, there is just no time. As I left, she said, "You just let me know when you ever want some hours." I really felt honored.
I am also extremely grateful to all our friends who came out to Michael's party. We are blessed to have meet some truly amazing people since we moved here two years ago. It is always wonderful to be surrounded by them on special occasions.
But I especially appreciate their support of our request for Michael's party. We asked for no gifts, and instead asked everyone to bring school supplies to be donated to the Greenville County Foster Parent Association. Our children all have so much. Frankly, they probably have too much. Yet there are so many children out there who are truly in need. I am glad to have friends who support our efforts to help those children.

It sounds like Michael's special day went very well mommy. :-) Congrats to y'all. Wow, a job offer? You go momma!
