Pillowcases

I wrote a few weeks ago about how Mom Mom made Michael some Thomas the Tank Engine curtains for his room. The other day, a new package arrived. This time, there were two pillowcases that she made to match the curtains.

As soon as Michael saw them, he got so excited. Since there were two, he decided that one was for him, and one was for Matthew. (Way to go, big boy!!!) Then he immediately wanted to go to bed. Of course it was well before his bedtime, but he wanted to go right up and rest his head on these his new Thomas pillowcase from Mom Mom.

The boys are lucky to have such an amazing Mom Mom who doesn't let a little distance stand in the way of her relationship with her grandkids!

How wonderful to have a grandma who sews. I wish my grandma could. My mom used to sew when I was young. She made lots of stuff for herself but only one dress for me. It was a beautiful red dress with a pocket trimmed in white lace. She made it for Valentine's Day.
