A Special Classroom Visitor!
Michael's class had a very special visitor yesterday! Mom Mom! Yes, Mom Mom came in to read to the class, and wound up doing a few extra special things too!
So it started out with Mom Mom reading "Corduroy". A perfect selection since the letter of the week was C! The kids all seemed to love it.
Then Mom Mom showed them some volcanic sand that she brought back from Costa Rica. The sand is black, and when a magnet is brought to it, the sand sticks to the magnet! Definitely some cool sand. The kids asked if they could see it more next week, so Mom Mom was nice enough to leave part of it behind for them.
Finally, Mom Mom gave them each a bag. She had assembled little goody bags for each student, and everything in the bag started with the letter C. Cotton, chocolate chip cookie, candy corn, cup, cat card, car stickers, carrots, and a colorful cut-out construction paper cross! It was great!!
And Michael's assessment? "I want Mom Mom to stay for a billion trillion days!" Amen to that!
