Haircuts
It's Tackle-It-Tuesday at 5 Minutes for Mom. They're talking about boy's haircuts, so I figured I'd join in the fun!
Michael suddenly decided about 4 months ago that he hates getting his hair cut. We had moved from Snip-Its (a kids place) to mommy haircuts. I think I do a decent job. Michael always liked it. He just wanted NO ONE to cut his hair.
This went on for quite a while. In fact he hadn't had a cut since November. For a boy, that's a long time! His hair was over his ears and hitting his collar.
Finally we agreed that on March 1st he would get his hair cut. He had very specific requirements though. Mommy could only use scissors -- no clippers. The clippers are SO much easier, but I think his sensory stuff is reacting to the sound. And mommy could only cut on the sides, the front, and the back. No touching the top.
Well, something is better than nothing.
He still fussed and cried, but at least we got his hair cut. Here are the results...

Great tackle!
Aw! What a cutie. Happy TT.
I'm stopping by for the first time after seeing your post regarding autism on Erin's EcoMOMics blog. My son has autism as well.
You did a great job on the haircut!! I've had to do my son's for awhile as well and it's tough when they are so sensitive about it. Bravo!
