Drought to Hurricaine
Michael's birthday party is planned for Saturday. He wanted an at-home party, with sprinklers in the back yard.
We had to wait to see if his plan would work. See, the Upstate has been classified as having "extreme drought" conditions, and there was talk of mandatory water restrictions. We certainly wouldn't have a sprinkler party if that happened.
But the mandatory restrictions didn't happen, and the party is supposed to go on as planned, sprinklers and all.
Of course now Hurricane Fay (or is it still a tropical storm?) is sitting down around the Florida Keys, and most projections show it coming up this way, through South Carolina on Saturday.
Great for our drought. Lousy for an outdoor sprinkler party.
Now I'm trying to come up with indoor activities at the last minute. Frustrating!
