End of the Year Cleaning

Have you done your end of the year cleaning yet? You know what I mean, going through all the excess stuff and getting it to Goodwill for the end of the year tax deduction?

This is an annual ritual at our house. Truth is, we have too much stuff. The boys have more toys than they can play with. We have more books that we could ever read. The boys could get by with no more clothes purchased for probably 3 more years (thanks to hand-me-downs beyond belief from their cousins and a neighbor).

So at this time every year, we try to find some stuff to donate. And help our taxes in the process. (Big cheer for itemized deductions! Hip Hip Hooray!)

We haven't really gone through any of the boys' stuff yet though. Although all of their outgrown clothes are neatly boxed and labeled in the attic. (Along with the years of clothes that they will grow in to.) At some point we are going to have to bite the bullet and go through the toys.

Maybe that should be my New Year's resolution. Of course that is a guarantee that it will never get done!
