I wonder...

Do you ever wonder? We certainly do! We wonder what our boys are thinking that they cannot communicate. We wonder what makes certain people act the way they act. We wonder how people can afford their extravagances. And sometimes we wonder about hidden meanings and causes.

But as much as we wonder, do we ever get all the answers? No, we don't. It can be a painful struggle to constantly be wondering. As soon as we think we figure out one thing, there is something else to take it's place.

I recently read an interesting quote. "Rather than trying to learn all the answers of the world, learn to live in a world where there aren't any answers." How true is that! When it really comes down to the important things we wonder about, we will probably never find the answers.

I often wonder what Greg is thinking about. You know that pensive look people get, when you are convinced they are focused on solving all the troubles of the world. I've learned not to ask or try to find the answer.

Once we were driving on I-95 southbound in Virginia, and Greg had that look. I was really wondering was on his mind. So I asked, "Greg, what are you thinking about?"

His response took me by surprise. He responded in all seriousness, "I'm thinking about how someone could retrofit an armored tank with highway road-treads."

Sometimes, I need to just stop wondering.
