First Parent-Teacher Conference
Today Greg and I went in for Michael's first parent-teacher conference. It was really neat to hear how Michael is progressing in school!
There wasn't a lot that we didn't already know. He really doesn't like coloring with crayons (markers are okay). He enjoys craft activities that involve gluing things on to pictures. He wasn't very interested in the classes on dinosaurs, but he loved it when the fire department came for a visit.
Michael is also adjusting to his first time in a classroom environment. He's never been in daycare, and has only even been willing to go to one-hour classes at church in the past year. So preschool is something very new to him.
He is definitely an active little boy. He doesn't totally understand the concept of sitting STILL during circle-time, but follows the teacher's corrections very well. And of course he has been blowing on the other children's hair, just like he's been doing at home. Time to put an end to that game.
Michael also has a couple friends. He is by far the youngest in the class, an one of the girls (who is apparently very nurturing) has taken him under her wing. He also has two boys he really likes playing with on the playground.
We were very happy to hear how well he is doing! Yeah Michael!
