How many of these kinds of stories are we going to have to read before the parents wise up and put their kids first?

A Louisiana couple is facing negligence charges after a puppy chewed off four of a baby girl's toes. They told police they were awakened by their 1-month-old baby's cries on Sunday morning, saw her mangled foot and rushed her to the hospital. But doctors couldn't reattach the toes. A veterinarian speculates the 6-week-old pit bull puppy might have been trying to nurse.

If you want to have a baby, fine. If you want to have a pit bull, fine. (Athough I just will never understand the desire to own such a dog.)

But if you want to have a baby, do not, I repeat, DO NOT have a pit pull. Some people just don't have enough common sense to be parents.
