Matthew's Turn
I've been talking a lot about Michael lately, so today is Matthew's turn!
Matthew has certainly taken to walking. He's just about running now too! It seems that he is a bit of a soccer fan (something he certainly didn't get from his parents!). Yesterday he kept running around the family room kicking a beach ball like it was a soccer ball. Just following behind it, and kicking it again whenever he caught up.
I guess all the times we've referred to him as "our future football star" (due to his size), he's gotten American football confused with what the rest of the world refers to as "football".
The mini trampoline for kids has really gotten him jumping too. He actually stands on the floor in the middle of the family room and jumps up and down. Yes, getting both feet off the ground!
For only being 13 months, the kid is pretty darn mobile! No delays in gross motor skills here! It will be really interesting to see how he takes off when the weather improves and he can play outside!
Edited to add: Matthew is also now helping feed the dog! We help him scoop the food in, and then he carries it over himself, without trying to eat any of the food! A big improvement from a few weeks ago. Which Greg reminded me of with this comic. For Better Or For Worse.
