The Big Birthday
First of all, thank you so much to everyone who posted birthday greetings to Greg yesterday! He was so thrilled to know so many people were thinking about him on his special day! Thank you!
When Greg got home from work, we all headed out to dinner at Greg's favorite diner, Stax Omega. They must have known it was his birthday, because they had calamari as the special.
After dinner, we came home to do gifts. Here is a picture of Greg and the boys as we were getting started.
Greg got lots of great gifts, and Michael even wrote "Daddy" and "Michael" on his card! Matthew drew a picture on his card with markers.
After the gifts, it was time for cake. Michael likes to decorate the birthday cakes. Apparently yesterday he figured he would try to use up all the cake decor in the house. Here is the result.
Yes, the decorations are actually piled about 2" high on the cake! (And they were all over the table and floor as well!)
Greg loved the cake, and especially loved hearing Michael singing Happy Birthday!
