Bush & Peck
There is a song that Mom Mom always sings for Michael. Whenever she visits, and on the phone as well. I also remember her singing it to me when I was little.
I've taken to singing the song to him too, and he always calls it "Mom Mom's Bush and Peck Song".
Little did we know how closely he was listening to the words.
Michael has never been a singer. But all the sudden on the phone today with Mom Mom, he sang the "Bush and Peck Song". And then again. And again! Four times! It was so neat hearing the excitement in her voice. She kept telling Michael how proud she was of him, and how special it made her feeling hearing him sing that song.
And so this afternoon I convinced him to sing it again for the camera. For your viewing pleasure, here is the cutest 3 1/2 year old in the world's rendition of "Mom Mom's Bush and Peck Song". Dedicated to you, Mom Mom!
(words below)
I love you!
A bushel and a peck
A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck
A hug around the neck and a barrel and a heap
A barrel and a heap and I'm talking in my sleep

My mom used to sing this to the boys when they were babies. I'd never heard it before and thought she was making it up.
