Silly Business

I can't seem to get off this "business" series... Today is "silly business".

Yesterday we received a letter from a local real estate company. It read:
"I have a client that wants to live in [your neighborhood]. We have been
looking for several months, but as houses in your neighborhood do not often come
available, we have been unsuccessful finding a new home for her family."

So what is silly about that?

Right now there are 7 houses in our neighborhood for sale and listed in the multiple listing service. There is another house that is for-sale-by-owner. That's 8 out of 136 homes. And more homes available at one time then there have been since we moved in 3 years ago.

Is this realtor just clueless and hasn't looked at the multiple listing service? Or is she just trying to drum up a listing for herself?

In any case, her letter was very poorly worded, and just makes her come off as sounding... well... silly!
