Sarah Palin
I must say, I'm pretty excited about McCain's VP choice! Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
Of course it's cool that she's a woman. (And no, I don't think he ONLY picked her to try to grab the disenchanted Hillary supporters.) But she is the mother of FIVE, the youngest of whom has Downs Syndrome.
Here is a woman who has the potential to be in the Executive Office, and who knows first hand about raising a child with special needs.
As the parent of a child with autism, I'm excited to know we may have a VP who can understands our needs and challenges. And who may be a great voice to help our children thrive.

I have to admit that this chance has given me pause.... I am moving closer to the undecided because McCain upped the ante with this choice. VERY interesting!
I watched Sarah's speech last night and was impressed. I was also very impressed to hear her say that those with special needs children will have an advocate in the White House. Yeah!
:)
Hugs, Susan!

I am so impressed with her thus far. I wasn't thrilled with McCain (I was a Romney supporter!), but Palin has really gotten me back on board!
