We Belong!

Last night I had one of those wonderful light-bulb moments. The kind that really makes you feel good...

We were invited to the first-birthday party for the twin of a couple we really like. I've written about them here before, and how special I think they are. We've also had a chance to meet their parents, and even a grandparent!

So last night we were at the party. As I was sitting there on the back porch looking around, I realized that this was our first birthday party we have attended here in South Carolina. I glanced around at all the people. Wonderful, friendly people. Warm people. The kind that always greet you with a hug, and mean it.

It was then that I really realized... We belong! It was such a great feeling! I hope our friends know how special it made me feel!
