Miscellaneous Ramblings
Preschool Auction. The numbers are back from the preschool silent auction. We made $35,000! Not bad! I am glad to have been a part of a great team, and look forward to next year!
Junior League. My official invitation to join the next provisional class of the Junior League of Greenville arrived a few weeks ago. I accepted immediately! I'm really looking forward to learning more about the community, and how I can contribute my skills in a volunteer capacity.
Upcoming Family Gathering. My whole family is getting together this summer to celebrate my father's 75th birthday. I am really excited! It will have been two years since all of us were together last. I haven't seen my brother and his family since last summer, and I haven't seen my sister and her family in 18 months. That's the negative of people living all over the country. Thank God my parents love to travel.
The Weather. If it's 90 degrees in May, what's it going to be in July and August? One word, miserable. Someone should give an award to whoever invented air conditioning!
Time With The Boys. Both of the boys are registered for preschool next year. Michael will be attending 3 days a week, and Matthew will be attending 2 days a week. No, the days do not overlap. A lot of people have asked why I didn't schedule them so that I have some time for myself. I didn't decide to be a stay-at-home-mom so that I could have time to myself. And I figure that it won't be long until I have loads of time to myself. But they are only young now. This way, I have one more year with special days alone with both of them. Individual attention. That's what they need at this age.
