Final and Ready-to-Print

For the past several weeks, I have been working on the program for the preschool silent auction. Today I am finally done, as I put the final to bed.

It was great working with this from the inside. The preschool received donations from 175 companies and individuals, sorted in to about 170 auction items. I don't have a lot of experience with silent auctions,, but it seems to me that the community has been unbelievably generous!

But it was hard to actually mark the program as "final" and ready-to-print. As much as I reviewed it, and had a great editor doing reviews as well, I couldn't help but think that I had missed something.

It's the same feeling I get whenever we leave for vacation. I swear I am missing something. Something important. But eventually I have to just figure that if I've got my drivers license, credit card, and any prescriptions, I can buy anything I missed on the road.

Of course I've never actually wound up forgetting anything important. But that feeling never goes away, no matter how much I travel.

Likewise, I know that even if I missed something in reviewing the program, it won't be catastrophic. And again, I probably didn't actually wind up forgetting anything important.

I guess that's just the perfectionist in me.
