Take WHO To the Polls Day?

I've seen some stuff on the internet about "Take Your Daughters To The Polls" day. Looking for some additional information, I did a yahoo search, and got 10,600 results.

Being the mom of only boys, I decided to change the search phrase to "Take Your Sons To The Polls". I only got 5 results.

This is just absolute nonsense.

Why do people think it is important to take their daughters to the polls, but apparently they do not think the same about their sons? Last I checked, every citizen's vote counts the same in this country. Every boy should be encouraged to vote when they are of age, just as every girl should.

It's not like women were just recently granted the right to vote. It's been 88 years! It's nothing new. Any female who is eligible to vote and doesn't is making a choice for herself. Just as it is for any male.

We hear so much about equality these days. But we need to remember that equality means the same for both. It means taking your daughters AND your sons to the polls. It means that our sons are not any less important to the future of our country than our daughters.

So forget all this "Take Your Daughters To The Polls" nonsense. I will proudly bring my sons along with me and suggest to all that they "Take Your KIDS To The Polls"!
